Leaving for Gorham next Friday and hiking North to Caratunk... any idea if this shut down will have any effect on our hike? Our shuttles to and from are not public transportation.

Thanks

I saw a facebook post that said Baxter will not be affected at all (not government).

No affect unless you need your drivers license or car or boat registered. Damn politicians

Politicians are only a reflection of the society that elects them. We get what we deserve.

We get what we deserve.

Amen to that, but it's amazing how upsetting that thought is to many people.

The majority does. Everyone else lives has to with it.

In the case of Maine, due to some strange election laws the current governor LaPage was elected by a small minority of voters and everyone got stuck with him.

Exactly. 65% of Maine voters voted for someone else.

Don't forget that when we voted to fix that they say they will ignore the will of the majority. Not in the people's best interest to do what they say they want to do is how I heard it put.
