Wonder what happened next? Faster runner lived to tell! Another reason for trail RUNNER'S!!!!! Seriously cat didn't look mad or aggressive....more curious.....I'd love to see one.....as long as my 20 lb pup wasn't with me...he's dumb enough to go after it....

Thats pretty intense coming around the corner to find the cat has taken the high ground. Stealth predator....

Thats exactly the kind of spot I always imagine a mountain lion to be

Here is a good one from a mountain biker, the last little thing he said to it made it decide to give it up.

In 2008 my son and I did a hike in New Mexico with his Scout troop at the Double H Ranch. One night before turning in I went to water a rock away from the tents and saw two yellow spots looking back at me, reflected in my head lamp about 20 yards away. Went back to tents to report to our guide, who quickly suggested we gather and head inside for the night. Next morning as we hiked out along a dirt track we followed a line of paw prints away from where we were camped. A sleepless night that night but a great story ever since.

He's cute actually, lol. We dont need to worry about him if he didn't try to attack. But we might need a bear spray for dangerous cases.

It’s a cat throw it some yarn or pull out a box or a laser pointer, and problem solved.

Ice fishin’ pole with a birthday ribbon/bowalways kept our cat busy, and was down right fun!

Bring a portable table and some glasses of water, if the cat gets aggressive just setup them up on trail and the cat will get distracted by it's primal need to knock the glasses off the table.

I wonder if pooping on the trail would peak their interest.

This would be way way too much type 2 fun for me, if I lived to have the type 2 fun.
