Here's a short video of my son and I day hiking the AT just north of the Bear Mountain Bridge in Peekskill, NY.
The overlook is 3/4 of a mile down the blue blazed Camp Smith Trail. It takes in views of the Bear Mountain Bridge, Bear Mountain, and the Hudson River.
We passed a thru hiker, Bubbles, making her way up to Maine. Wanted to wish her luck on the rest of her journey!!

Well, we definitely have a future thru hiker there. That kid does better on the rocks than I do; although in the end, he has the right idea. Let dad do all the work.

Curious. What kind of camera did you use?

Yeah he's got a couple miles under his belt!! Maybe he'll get the triple crown by the time he's 10. Lol

I used my GoPro Hero5 Black. I also used a Rode VideoMicro as an external microphone for a little better audio.

Here's a pic of my setup. A little bulky but the sound quality is much better.

Yeah it's works really well. They sell the mic as a set.
