I got my vest in record time, so thanks, Doc! I've now confirmed that the L.L. Bean vest fits under the L.L. Bean puffy jacket (both size Large) without bunching, and the combo fits under the Frogg Toggs jacket (size M/L). I'm now good for my late winter AT start -- adequately geared up even for freezing rain. This vest is my new mid-layer, shaving 5 ounces off my total weight. :sun
