Okay.
Walmart sells a small AAA flashlight for $1.00. With batteries. They also sell a headlamp for $1.00 with batteries. Same location in the store. With the big bucks flashlights & headlamps.

My friend gave me this one as a gift:https://olightworld.com/led-flashlights/all-flashlights/olight-i3e-eos-color

It is now my EDC flashlight! Love it. Works well. Holds up to the abuse of keychain + woman's purse :)

I forgot to add. Both the flashlight & headlamp use LED bulbs.

I have a Fenix LD01 and a Fenix E05, both single AAA battery driven. The LD01 has three intensities and the E05 a single. They are a bit more expensive than Walmart models but since I only carry one Fenix and my headlamp I'm willing to pay a little more for reliability.

I ended up with the Fenix E05 with 3 brightness modes and 85 Lumens max.

Nice! I have the older single level E05 and see that they've updated it for three output levels. Fenix make great flashlights. I have the angled LD01 for my motorcycle kit as well.

It is nice to have a headlamp with bright and dim and also a red setting so you are not blinding your hiking buddies in camp.

I have a mini Mag Lite that uses (1) AAA.

I also use a Fenix 1xAAA flashlight with 3 brightness levels.. It's bright enough to night hike with if needed. I've used it as my only light on trips I don't expect to do any night hiking and as a backup when I expect to do a lot of night hiking.

Bumping an old post but +1 on Fenix for a small AAA light. I ended up going with the one that uses 1 AA. I can't remember if that one is the E01 or LD01. It is right at 100 lm on high and runs a very long time on a single battery. From what I read, life in a AA is better than AAA which make sense. They take up very little space as well.

sorry for the double post. I tried to edit the model number. The one I carry is the Fenix E11 which has been replaced by the E12

I vote the Thrunite Ti3 as a small (yet powerful) AAA torch; Fenix E12 for AA.

+1 on the Thrunite Ti3. The Maglite Solitaire is a close second.

I've got the Olight 3E EOS around my neck as I type this. I forget I'm wearing most of the time. Nice little light with one AAA. $8 on amazon if I recall.

I’ve had 2 zebra lights...one AA up 300lm about 2oz with nice headband...well worth the money...I use mine on land and water...can’t kill it! Many of night hikes and sup paddles through the gator infested swamps....only light I’ll ever use....

Streamlight microstream uses 1 AAA. Isn't a keychain light though.
