Finishing section hike at Deep Gap. No cell coverage, couldn't arrange shuttle. Arrive at Deep Gap - two old guys getting off trail due to injury. Guy from Alabama arrives, needs someone to take his truck to Budget Inn in Franklin. Guess where my vehicle is parked? :banana

Hot day, water scarce. Came to Deep Gap & found water and one banana. Simple gift - maybe the best banana I ever ate. I was so grateful.
