we had a great hike on the north south trail at land between the lakes
the trail is 60 miles long,we only saw 3 people in 4 days,a forestry tech and 2 day hikers,one of the day hikers named joe gave me his number to call him
when i hike the river to river trail in southern illinois,when we finished our hike we ate at the excellent patti;s resturant in grand rivers ky:cool: neo

Did a quick google search and found the trail map. Any trail guides available? Maybe a more detailed trip report?

"PAPA SMURF" & I have been talking about hiking the NORTH-SOUTH trail @ L-B-L in one weekend....is that what u did?
if you plan this again next year....lemme know in plenty of time (winter months)...& would love to hike along with you!:D

we started late saturday and only did 11 miles ,sunday we hiked 20 miles,monday we hiked 20 miles,finished early tuesday 9 miles,if you get an early start the
its a 3 day hike doing 20 miles a day,you can doit on a weekend if you do 30 miles a day.:cool: neo

Great Pics, Neo! Sorry I couldn't make it to eat with you at Patti's work called, you know. Actually, after you called, my boss told me to go check out some land. Darn, that meant I had to go walk in the woods for about 3 hours--naturally I went home and got my pack first. Life is rough.
Glad you and Sneakers had a good, if cold time. Let me know if any of you here on Whiteblaze need a shuttle. Be happy to help if I'm not on my TH this summer.

i have heard a great place to eat near the south end of land between the lakes is cindys catfish kitchen open 5:00 am to 9:00 pm all you can eat
breakfast $4.50 and all you can eat lunch and dinner $6.50:cool: neo

to 9.00pm,the all can eat is $4.50 including coffee,lunch and dinner is $6.50
all you can eat catfish,dessert bar salad bar all kinds of stuff,excellent eating
