Maybe not:

It's about 2.0"x1.4"x.6" and 35g. w/o battery. They're available in the UK, but you might get a dealer to ship the US.

Keep in mind that both of these cameras are only 0.1 megapixel - that's POINT ONE megapixel. You won't be making many enlargements off of these, but they would be easy to pack conveniently.

my philosophy is that if your camera is too high quality you dont have anything to blame the bad pictures on

Hah! That's funny. In truth, even the lowest quality cameras can produce works of art:

You can get a "real" camera -- not one of those 0.1 toys -- that fits in an Altoids tin.

There seem to be two quoted sizes on that page. The one you quoted and this:
Measuring just 2.25in by 1.5in by .5 in. and weighing a feather-light 1.5 oz

If you go by the second quoted size, this camera is equal to that one:

but on a coolness factor blows the others out of the water... It's a 0.3MP camera, too. Very low, but better than the 0.1 of the camera above.

Anyway. I'd take the zippo camera anyday. :)

Actually, those two cameras are the same brand. And the zippo version doesn't require the zippo case (so less weight). Interesting.

I'm gonna remember and use that one!

I prefer my 2"x3"x.75" Casio Exilim - try 5.0 megapixels- you can blow the pictures way up and still have amazing clarity. But hey if you want to take crappy (or rather low res) pictures- then its all you!

WOW that exilim is a nice camera. i will have to check that one out. thanks for the heads up... but be advised. its still very possible to take "crappy" pictures with the very best of equipment.

Ain't THAT the truth!

At times I get paying gigs as a photographer and I STILL shoot plenty of duds. In fact, unless I'm shooting a wedding (where the hard part is dealing with people BEFORE the shoot), if I get 2-3 great shots per roll I'm happy.:banana

Ohmigosh! That looks like the Zeiss Ikon my mother brought from Germany. I used to love to take pix with that baby. Too bad it was stolen from us at an airport in 1966. :(

I will second the Exilim S500. That is a sweet camera. Great quality, only 4.0 oz. The video (with sound) is fantastic. The res is better than at least one 11 mp camera out there. Different exposures, timed exposures, mp3 player if one cares. Proprietary battery that lasts 200+ shots and with a 1 gb SD card captures 470 images at 2560x1920. Oh, almost forgot, the anti-shake setting. It works! Check it out for a point and shoot.

Keep an eye out for new smaller cameras near the end of February. There is a huge photo convention, starting feb 26 - march 1.

i'm looking forward to see if there will be a new update to the Canon digital rebel XT line.
