View Full Version : Hip pad extensions
The hip pad on packs I have tried only reach to my sides and not around to the front of my hip bone. Are the generic pad extensions, or is there a company out there who could modify a hip belt with longer pads that would reach around me better?

Don't know about extensions, but you might try a Granite Gear Crown 2 backpack. They use big swaths of velcro at the back to let you adjust the hip belt length.
There are companies that sell packs with different sized hip belts. Try ULA, Hyperlight Mountain Gear, Six Moon Designs, Mountain Laurel Designs and the like.

Osprey Aether 70 w/XL hip belt.
Osprey hip belts are interchangeable. Unfortunately I believe you have the largest belt available.
Plan B?
