Just wondered if there is safe parking at the trail parking just outside Troutdale at Lee Hwy? Anyone have vandalism issues there?

If you are thinking about Where the trail crosses the Lee Highway at the National Forest Bldg (Near Friendship Shelter), I wouldn't leave my car there. There are regular break-ins at the trail head. You might ask the Forest Svc Folks if you can park in their lot, but it is locked and inaccessible during off hours.

Lee highway goes through Atkins/Groseclose. Hwy. 16 goes through Troutdale and past MRHQ building
