Close to AT wedding planning, need advice

My wife and i are planning on having our wedding cerimony when i get back home, near the appalachian trail sometime in May at Silver Mine Lake just off the trail at Brien Memorial Shelter in New York.

Any advice on:

-weather for that time of year
-Approving athourity for permission at harriman state park for a cermiony at Silver Mine lake Rec area (not reception)
-if its a good idea to invite thru hikers passing by
-would setting up a tent be a problem for the park

79 days!!!!!! free world here i come!

There's a lot of goose poop by Silvermine Lake. You should check with the ranger station about setting up a tent. There is a bathroom facility at Silvermine Lake.
