If you like to play in the snow, time to visit the White Mountains before all this new snow turns into ice. A good 2-4 feet of it so far and counting. It's been snowing above 3,000 feet for a good week now. Just be careful of avalanche if you go high and steep.

Breaking trail is for the young kids. GF and I did two miles up Speckled Mountain yesterday. After three hours we turned around. Too much work.
And another Nor'easter forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.

It's already ice, slush and mud season in the Upper Valley. Daytime temps above freezing for the last week, and forecast the same for the next week.
Speaking of which, I need to rake the snow off my roof, before we get more wet snow on top. Bah!
Almost white out conditions on the summit of Moosilauke on the AT yesterday- 60-70 mph winds easily....

It was definitely time for me to start raking my roof. I had to put my snowshoes on the walk around the building.

It was definitely localized to the Northern Whites. It started snowing on Wednesday and didnt really stop until sometimes on Saturday. I totaled up 24 inches. Looks like winter again. A week ago it looked like spring was just around the corner. Add in a possible 10 inches on Tuesday and its definitely going to be quite a spring snowpack.
