View Full Version : Shuttle and LT Parking: Winding Stair Gap to Newfound Gap
Doing my next section of the AT beginning 3/24! Winding Stair Gap to Newfound Gap. I want to spend a day and night at the end of my hike in Gatlinburg. So for folks who are familiar with this section, what are my best options for LT parking? At Newfound Gap, another location in the park, one of the LT lots in Gatlinburg assuming it's easy to hitch into town? Also, know any shuttle drivers who service this route? Thank You!
shuttle drivers-----a walk in the woods does a shuttle...
also----thats a real easy hitch to go from town up to the gap..........or vice versa...
best place is right near the visitors center as thats where the traffic is coming out of and heading up to the gap..
also---have heard of people taking an uber from town up to the gap...
parking---you can park at the gap for a while..........there's a ton of parking spots.........
or park at the visitors center as well.............and might go into the BC office right there and let them know....
ive never parked in town so dont know the options there, but i would just park at the gap or at the visitors center.....
