Are you talking about sleeping or hiking? I use silk long underwear to sleep in to keep my quilt clean. I usually don't use any thing Hiking in warmer weather because your body will stay pretty warm in warmer weather. I have seen some people using yoga style pants while hiking. Normally they are wearing shorts.

I use a silk layer just for sleeping. If im hiking and my legs get cold I put on rain/wind pants over my pants.

I'm looking for advice on baselayers for sleeping.

I sleep in a wool/polartec baselayer when it is cold, but I've been looking at silk for sleeping in when it is warmer, and was wondering where people went and preferences for silk baselayers when it is warm.

The post is way too terse.
