What is the availability of freeze dried food on the AT? such as Mountain House.

Pretty good in the south as there is an outfitter or hiker friendly store in many towns. If you want to pack your own there are mail order suppliers where you canorder in bulk. I will try to add a link here but I have never done it on WB so I don't know if I can.

Loads of Outfitters near the trail...& now even WAL-MART & other large retailers carry freeze-dried entrees in their SPORTING GOODS area.

i only eat freeze dried meals maybe once a week,i prefer making my own freezer bag meals:cool: neo
