Wow those are some great photos. Being from TN I am a little dormant in the winter. I like living vicariously thru those people in the winter trip to Katahdin lol

For conditions like this, what footwear do you use?

Mountaineering boots, gaiters, Hillsounds, and snowshows.

For conditions like this, what footwear do you use? It used to be Mickey Mouse Boots, the military winter boots. You got clunky, heavy footwear that kept you feet warm, if damp, in all conditions, even if you get in too deep in a stream. Sadly, there is no lighter, more comfortable replacement.
I unserstad many have gone back to pack boots with felt liners (with extras).
