Good afternoon all!!
I found this article yesterday and I may be behind the times, but online sources for used/returned gear are new to me. In the article are links to REI stuff that is much like their garage sales, Patagonia returned items, and now The North Face is starting the same thing with their apparel. The North Face also accepts used items of clothing of any brand for recycling and such. Interesting article in any case. If y'all know of any other sources like this, please share!!

Thanks.

Absolutely concur. My first backpack and some basic gear came from a backpacker who was upgrading her stuff, and posted an ad on craigslist. Worked well for my 1st year of section hikes. I also find thrift stores and ebay, and REI garage sale finds (items needing a small repair) are my best sources for hiking clothes. I checked the 3 sites noted by the Trekker, and the clothes are still pricey for what I like to spend on most hiking clothes.
