Disclaimer
I have no connection with this or any of the books or authors I post links to, nor do I have a financial interest in Amazon.com. I simply find free books that I think/hope might have some connection to backpacking or hiking and post the links. I have no control over what books are available. I do not have time to read/review every book I post. Not everyone will enjoy every book. Most books are free for a limited time, then return to their previous price.

My Amazon review (this book retails for $7.77).

The mass of advertising that takes up half the book (50% if you don’t count the cover as content) is what you are paying for.

The trail diary is really an erratic diary. Every few days she makes an entry. Like how hard she was told Harpers Ferry would be (flat, smooth, sand covered trail is predicted to be the hardest part of the trail) or how she just finished a week of hiking.

Not a trail journal. Not a guide. Not much depth

It really reads like an excuse to deliver advertising. Page after page, mostly for preppers.

You literally learn more about this trail section from the brochures available on line.

One star is too generous.

On the other hand, for free it had some nice pictures.

Worth the download load for free if you are stuck waitjing, like I was.

Thanks again, perry. I agree with Ethesis's review. More than half the books by this author consists of ads for her other books (based on two I've read). I did read the first one in this "series", so I'd like to read the second. They're quick and entertaining enough for that.
