Hammock @ Baxter State Park

Hi guys, I'm not finding a lot of information ... actually, I can't find ANY information ... on whether or not hammocking is allowed at Baxter State Park (specifically, South Katahdin Lake leanto). Tried calling the park directly, but no answer. Anyone able to help me out with some info?

I hammocked this summer at Abol, site #21, if memory serves. I had the same question as you and called the park number. The rangers were helpful and suggested several sites to reserve. Keep trying to get through. I can't speak to your specific location (SKL leanto), though.
