I've searched this on the forms and all posts are pretty old.. Planning on parking at Coopers Gap parking area and shuttling to Amicalola. Anyone ever had any problems parking there? Thanks!
You mean Cooper Gap at mile 12.2, correct? I've parked there for weekend trips a couple times and never had a problem. I probably wouldn't leave it longer than that.

Yes, that one. Thanks. That's what it'd be, just a 2 night trip.
I did this two weeks ago from the top of Amicalola Falls, tenting one night near Hawk Mtn. shelter and getting to my vehicle at Woody Gap next day. Ron Brown's shuttle service is who I used, and he is fantastic. There is a six mile section from Hawk with no water. The Approach Trail & the AT very difficult terrain until you reach Cooper Gap, then it get's much less so.

Awesome thanks! We plan on 2 nights out. Just going to take our time. And Ron is who I have a request in to. Just waiting on him to respond.
Shouldn't be a problem unless some event is going on. Parking sufficient for half a dozen vehicles easily, can squeeze in twice that.
