Where do I send my maildrop to Fontana Dam before I hike into the GSMNP?

either to the Fontana Dam PO or the hike INN.

Do yourself a favor and call Jeff and Nancy at Hike Inn from N.O.C. to get a reservation there,if you like hitch from Stecoah Gap then slack with them to the dam and your maildrop will be safe and available 24hrs. Also they make a grocery run to Robbinsville.

You can also send it to the Fontana Village itself if you stay there. Always check ahead to be sure places still accept and hold packages.
