HMG Windrider and Nikwax

Got a new HMG windrider 3400 coming tomorrow....stoked!!!!

Do any of you who have a HMG pack spray nikwax on it?

Why would you want to? The DCF material is waterproof and the seams are taped, why would you want to spray it with Nikwax or anything else?

extra protection? Dunno. I know they're waterproof...just seeing what the rest of the world is doing.

Dynnema x gridstop or Robic packs I might WP/ WR spray on the outside not seam taped DCF packs.
