Has anyone ever used any bug netting jackets?

I am going to use a head net starting south and wondered if I needed more than that and some DEET.

I'm not sure a shirt would be useful because the mesh has to be away from your skin. Maybe?

I used "The Original Bug Shirt" for my time in the Arctic and sub-Arctic. That, however, was a paddling trip and weight/space were not as large a consideration as they are in backpacking. I think you would find (as I did on my SOBO thru) a headnet and deet containing bug repellant to be adequate. At times in camp, you could also supplement with your rain gear.

Bug-proof sleeping accommodations would be essential.

Thanks for the advice, I have a bugnet, DEET, and my HH to sleep in. I'll go with that and see what happens.
