I know there are several DIY mount videos and articles on mounting a camera to antrekking pole. But I am looking for a trekking pole with a mount for a GoPro. Does anyone know of something? I contacted GoPro and they told me to use the bar mount and then a three way arm. I liked that idea at first and it seemed like a simple solution, but the bar mount would just get in the way of where I would put my hand while I am walking.

I am wanting the GoPro to be mounted at the very top. I could still utilize the pole for hiking and then setup the GoPro for video/ pictures/ time lapse, set cetera.

Your help is appreciated more then you know.

As much as a trekking pole moves, I think I would get motion sick watching a video from a pole mounted camera. Why not mount the camera on a shoulder strap or chest mount? Those would be easy solutions with plenty of straps available.

Now if your intent is to only use the camera/trekking pole setup as a selfie stick, there is a a mount called the StickPic (https://www.thestickpic.com/)

As Idsailor noted above, talk to Rod at StickPic. He is a great guy and can set you up with what you need to attach your GoPro to a trekking pole. I love to support cottage gear makers like Rod.

I use an UltraPod tripod.
It Velcro’s to the hiking pole for selfie type shots. I leave it on there when not in use.
You can also use it as a regular tripod on the ground or picnic table. Or Velcro it to a tree and do a walk by shot.
I personally didn’t like anything attached to my pack - too much camera movement in the video.

Alternatively I did a bit of surgery to my pole and added this. But honestly I don’t use it.

Selfie sticks don’t work?
Gimbals are popular now.

Well, I originally purchased a backpack clip for my ruck sack, but I wanted more options. I found a trekking pole that will arrive Saturday with a camera mount, so we will see. I didn't want it entirely for recording, but more of the mindset of setting up the GoPro for time lapse pictures.
