Sunnybank Inn is currently looking for help for the 2019 hiker season. We are located right on the trail in Hot Springs, North Carolina. The historic inn has been owned and operated by Elmer Hall since 1978 and is one of the longest running hostels on the Appalachian Trail (Earl Shaffer even stayed here on his first thru hike in 1948). One, or possibly two, staff people are needed for the season. We usually look for at least a three month commitment, that way you get to know how things operate here and become familiar with all the town has to offer. Duties will include, but are not limited to: cleaning rooms between guests, laundry, help with meal preparation and serving, gardening, as well as hosting hikers and regular guests. The position includes room, board, and a stipend. It is strongly preferred that applicants will have previously hiked the AT or at least have done sections of the trail and have knowledge of long distance hiking. The position(s) are available now and we would like to have them filled within the next few weeks.
