Anybody have any good recommendations on a 2 day loop in mid April not too far from NYC? Not looking to drive more than 3 hours I know the Catskills are within reach but I feel that area will be a sloppy mess mid April.

Bear Mountain. Busses an trains head out that way. Take 🚇 to the AT train stop and hike ny and or ct.
