Nature’s Inn Hostel had Whiteblaze on the table

Turns out AWOL has their info wrong, Whiteblaze has it right.

Good things:

really clean. Clorox cleaner clean.

Lots of space. Huge bathhouse and lots of space. Even a place for hammocks.

On the the other hand, the hot biscuit breakfast is freezer pack biscuits microwaved with flour, water and pepper gravy.

They have competition 1.3 miles further down the trail. The competition is a little cheaper and has Wi-Fi.

I am staying at Nature’s Inn and liked them.

They are salty about AWOL, but their business has dropped off since AWOL listed them wrong.

I'm missing some context here - what exactly did AWOL get wrong/Whiteblaze get right?

The location of the hostel. And the correct phone numbers.

They are are really greatfull to Whiteblaze.

The hostel's website, and 2019 editions of the Whiteblaze hostel listing and AWOL and the AT Companion all give (828) 216-1611 as the main phone number. AWOL and the Companion also list a second phone number, (423) 216-0540.

The website and Whiteblaze list the address as 4871 Old Asheville HWY, Flag Pond TN 37657, while AWOL and the Companion list 4872 Old Asheville HWY as the address.

Whiteblaze says the location is 2.8 miles west of Sam's Gap, AWOL says 1.1 miles west, and the Companion and hostel website make no mention of how far it is from trail to hostel (the hostel website gives no directions whatsoever on how to get from the trail to their business, which is puzzling).

So, Ethesis (or anyone else who knows), what is the correct information?

I know Natures Inn was upset with AWOL's guide when the 2018 edition incorrectly listed them near Spivey Gap..but that was corrected in 2019.
