New to this site-- not sure how it works but need help near Harpers Ferry soon--

Hello- I am sending this message for my father that is elderly and blind. We have a family member that will be making it to Harpers Ferry
soon and are looking for a college student or couple of high school student out for the summer to hire to do something special to celebrate our loved one making it half way on his hike. We will pay them well but just need a local to handle it--- couple of easy things to just make him feel special sense we are so far away. Any suggestions??? have a blessed day.

Pretty unique request, may be hard to fulfill. Contact Mikes shuttle out of boiling springs and see what he can help with. Also, it may be more special/ easier for you guys to mail him a box of goodies than to organize something on trail by a stranger.

You might need to contact an event planner in the area for help with something like this, or a nature photographer that would work for a day rate and knows the trail some.

Contact the Appalachian Trail Conservancy office in Harpers Ferry. The staff there would likely know some local young people who might be able to help you.
