I watched this video and Sara appears to have done her homework on this guy. I hope those hiking the CDT see the video. I shudder to think there might be a situation similar to what happened on the AT earlier this month.

Yeah what a total piece of garbage. He obviously has been arrested several times on violent charges why the heck can't they put him away for a very long time?. I like when sara said hikers have to stand and protect each other. Something goes down there's strength in numbers.

thank you for posting this video Sara, without your help, others might be in danger from this guy. He belongs in prison-not hiking!

i would like to know if he wound up back in jail or what....
i lost all my resources to look things like this up (and cant call in a favor) when i left my job..........
and now, other than small breaks and what not----in the process of clearing my dad's house out and settling his estate......

this will all work out in the end...
from the bad, comes the good.....this is an opportunity that i would be foolish not to do....
i retired middle of may at the ripe age of 51, and get some work done on house.....
then kick back and relax.....
i would ask around on this dude but i might have burnt a bridge at my former employer......oh well......
i'll play around during some downtime and see what i can figure out but it will take a while......
as for providing intel and all that----sitting in front of a computer most all day at work, along with the nature of my brain wanting to
learn and soak information about hiking (and as a result of my former career----asking questions all along the way to gain more info)------i get on these forums and spit it out for the rest of the world....

doing a google search from the name in article brings up a facebook page showing the initial video...
havent search long enough to see his record....
