Still plenty of snow on the summit when I went by this afternoon.

I've seen frozen stuff - rime ice, graupel, snow, in every month of the year in the Whites. Makes me miss the cold. Beats 100° days and 90° overnights all summer long and having to run the car AC at 6 am in the morning going to work. 4 more years until retirement and seeing Texas in my rear view mirror...

Starting to sound like Mac Davis there. :)
Of course I am sure Lubbock is even worse than DFW.

Almost three weeks before I go through there on 6/24. Hopefully some sunshine and warmer temps can make a difference between now and then. :sun

It would be nice if more summer like weather were to get here, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it :)

The record high on Mt Washington is 72F. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a warm sunny day.

Finally looks like 3 sunny days in a row this weekend at or slightly above the average temp. That is going to burn up a few snowfields but not some of the deep snow spots in the shade and trees that luckily are not on the AT.
