As an European, I don't know what they refer to as #1 and #7 plastic.
First, they are talking about PET being the most common material bottles are made from, and then about #1 and #7 as being unsafe - so that leaves something open for me.

Well, they are trying to scare you into buying thier water bottles.

Not something I'm going to worry about at my age. Anyway, my reused water and soda bottles don't stick around long enough to be a problem.

Anyone know what # the Smart Water Bottles are?Not a bad idea to replace them from time to time.Mine are stored in total darkness with the caps off and at my age I am not terribly concerned with the issue.Reminds me,I need to apply some Roundup on my yard to celebrate the 4th............

Ah, did some Google research and found out, #1 is PET, the most common material for disposable bottles.
Further research shows, that there is no BPA nor DEHP in PET bottles (at least not in Europe).

Applying Roundup to your yard, such a cavalier attitude when it comes to the health of your neighbors.

Why would your neighbors be rolling around on your lawn?

On the bottom of plastic containers is a triangle. Inside the triangle is a number.
