He was out for a weekend hike and was last heard from Sunday at Bake Oven Knob shelter. He was presumably headed back to his car which was located at Rt 309, about 5 miles away.

Hopefully he didn't fall off the knife edge. That's where I'd start looking.

Yep, looks like he fell off the knife edge. That's about the only place along there were you can fall down a 30 foot embankment and his last picture is at the start of that section. Crossing it in the rain was a little scary last time I was there.
