A friend of mine mentioned to me the idea of edible ziplocs, sporks, protien bar packaging, stuff sacks, etc...
I know it is a random thought, but it has been stuck in my head for a while. Dumb, kinda funny, but if the wrong person gets wind of it we might see a an eatyourkit.com pop up somewhere!!!
What do ya think? Dumb, or a strange vision of the future??? After all considering some of the things that are made to be edible now ya never know?????????????????????

I'll go ya one better...eat your tent, pack, bag, everything. Sure saves weight, but the pack gets salty after a few days on the trail.

Yea, but the maildrops would be even more important. Would need to figure out what day you eat your sleeping bag and the last day would probably be your pack since it wouldn't be carrying anything at that point.

I about threw-up when I saw this bride (one of the ugliest girls I've ever seen-heart of gold of course) receive some edible panties for a wedding present. :eek: So what am I saying? Hauptman, it's possible!?
That edible sleeping bag would be mighty tasty after a week in the woods.

Somehow all I can think of is the sleeping bag being a nice garnish for the bear that is going to eat me.

sometimes i like to roll up in my tarp inside my sleeping bag when i'm too lazy to pitch it. multi layer human burrito.

Then wrap yourself in a hammock and you'll be an edible bear pinata.
