Does anyone a recommendation for a good cuben fiber tent bag. My Big Agnes Fly Creek 2 bag tore several years ago. I have a bag I have been using, but I would like a cuben fiber bag so I could strap the tent to the outside of my pack. Big Agnes is selling their tents with cuben fiber bags now, but they are not selling them separately.

Thanks for any information you might have.

Why do you need DCF to put it outside?

Almost all of the cottage vendors who make DCF stuff sacks are equal in quality.

Email BA and find out the volume (L) of the stuff sack for your tent.

Then shop around the cottage vendors for a DCF stuff sack of the same or slightly larger volume (DCF does not stretch).

A friend of mine made me a cuben fiber tent bag. It apparently is fairly easy with cuban tape, she foudn the instructions (dimensions) online about 5 years ago. The tent bag still works today and is as good as the day she gave it to me.

My thought too. I like a non-waterproof bag to allow a wet tent to drain when strapped to the outside of the pack.

Since my pack is waterproof I do not use a pack cover in the rain. So the need for a water proof tent bag.

I may try making my own. Thanks for the idea.

Regardless of the tent bag being waterproof, the tent fabric itself shouldn't absorb water. Give it a shake before you set it up and crawl in.
