Thank you for this. You might want to add The Hostel of Maine in Carrabassett, near Stratton, and the Human Nature Hostel in Roxbury, near Andover, ME. Both have been highly reviewed. I've stayed at the Human Nature Hostel. I plan to stay at the Hostel of Maine next year.

Thanks very much for providing this. I have saved to my phone and I am sure this will get checked very often next year on my hike.

Thank you for pointing out he Human Nature Hostel. I have added that to the listing and uploaded a new listing. You may have to use (CTRL + F5) to refresh it.
The Hostels of Maine was already on the listing.

Thank you. If you see anything else or know of one I forgot, please let me know.

When I initially downloaded your list, I got the 2019 hostel listing. I didn't realize that until I just looked at the .pdf file. I'll delete that and download the 2020 list. You might want to alert any early downloaders that the 2019 list was up initially.

Actually, if you download directly from the post, you get the 2020 list. If you click the link, you get the 2019 list.

That was because of your browsers cache. I added a note at the top of the page about using (CTRL + F5) to refresh the listing. I hope this helps.

I did that but when I click on the "download pdf" link I get the 2019 listing. It might make sense to just remove that link since you can download the 2020 listing by clicking on the >> on the right side.

Oh - you just meant the download PDF link.

Here's the correct address until it's updated on the linked page:

I see what the both of you are referring to now. Thank you for pointing that out. I have fixed that issue.

I do question the Hikers Paradise listing, there was an ownership change last year. The referenced hikersparadise.com domain has been dead for quite awhile. The Hikers Paradise and the business signs was removed last year. The owner is still renting the cottages but seems to be concentrating on ATV traffic. In general it looks like a business in very slow transition.

Thank you for pointing this out about the Hikers Paradise. I called this morning and they are now permanently closed. I have removed them form the listing and updated it.
