I’ll be passing through Gatlinburg and plan to visit Clingmans Dome. Is there a retailer that carries Dirty Girl Gaiters?

The NOC (Nantahala Outdoor Center) in Gatlinburg is a very well stocked outfitter. I would be very surprised if they didn't have them.

Judging by this list, nothing near there.

I noticed that too. I’ve emailed them from their site and on their FB but haven’t heard back.

i would call them to find out....

cause I don’t think, and I’ve only been in there a couple of times, that they carry that brand...

The REI on Knoxville carries lightweight Outdoor Research gaiters similar to Dirty Girls in construction .

You do know that Clingman's Dome Road is closed during the winter?

There's an Uncle Lems outfitter in Pigeon Forge along Parkway. They might have something

They might have something, but not DirtyGirl gaiters.

It would be a whole lot easier just to order on line then to track down a retailer which is not on the way.

one could order direct from Dirty Girl and have them shipped to a local PO/hostel/hotel etc.

You can still reach Clingman's Dome, but with the road closed, it's a 7 mile hike (one way) from New Found Gap either hiking the road (I've even heard of people skiing the road) or the AT.
You'll also have to keep a watch on the GSMNP Temporary Road Closures (https://www.nps.gov/grsm/planyourvisit/temproadclose.htm) web page. They've been getting some snow and a few wind storms this winter that have been closing 441 from time to time.

Direct order from the web. Another option is http://www.runningfunky.com/gaiters-1/
