Hi everyone. I thru-hiked last year and tracked all my expenses as well as my daily progress in detail. Recently I wrote a blog post summarizing all that information so if you are interested in geeking out a bit about someone else's hike stats and expenses, check it out.

Also, I did all the tracking on a Google spreadsheet, which automatically generates the stats. I have made it publicly available for any future thru-hikers to use. I link to it in the article but I will list it here as well. Hopefully it will be of use to someone.

Amazing breakdown. Also you started 5 weeks after us and finished 2 days before us, haha. Congrats on your hike!

Very nice. The detail and short narrative is also very helpful for people planning. I think it likely gives a very good start for someone who is going to be asking "How much should I expect to spend?"

Very well done.

Impressive on several levels.

The ability to do long miles consistently no doubt helped to keep costs down.
