If anyone remembers, at the end of last year I asked the forum for advice on thru-hiking for charity. I ended up cooperating with the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, a Detroit cancer charity that provides the full spectrum of cancer-related services. Per reccomendations of the forum people, they money is handled directly by the charity organization. All of it goes directly to the charity, and I recieved and will recieve no financial support from the charity organization.
Thanks to everyone on whiteblaze for all the help you've provided in getting me ready to hike. I leave tomorrow, and will be on the trail by saturday.
