Hi, I am traveling from another state to franklin, NC where i will park my car and shuttle to Hiawassee and hike back to my car. will this be a problem? will i be expected to self quarantine? I would like to hike this short hike this coming week before hot weather comes in. I am an older female who has hiked before on the trail several times. thanks, Gigi

Maybe think about wearing a mask when you are in the shuttle or resupplying but other than that you're going to be more socially distanced than 99% of the rest of the country. Make sure the shuttle company is still operating.

Might want to check out what is closed where you intend to hike

Starting Sunday and plan the same hike as you. No quarantine is necessary. Common sense is your best guide. The shuttle driver has told me there are folks out on the trail just not in the numbers that are typical this time of year. Hope to see you on the trail! Have a great hike!
