One of the nicest, under red pines, loons on the lake, with good fishing. Antler's Campsite is about 50 trail miles south of Katahdin on Lower Jo-Mary Lake. It's on the site of one of the many sporting camps that the AT was once routed by. It can get crowded, and six or seven times a summer it's taken over by groups from Canadian youth camps who hike in from the Jo-Mary Rd (about 4 miles south) as they hike the 54 Mile Wilderness. Great place for a siesta on breezy September afternoons!
