Here is my setup for backpacking:

CPAP/Battery Pak - grams / ounces

Resmed Airmini - 294 /10.4
Mask & Hose - 109 / 3.8
Adapter cable (Medistrom) - 24 / 0.8
TalentCell 24V LI Battery PB240A1 - 416 / 14.7

Total - 843 grams / 29.7 ounces

I’ve used this on several trips and usually get 3 nights use out of one battery. The Airmini is an autoset machine and I generally set it for max pressure of 6 or 7.

Thanks Steve. 3 nights is really good on the battery.

Which nasal pillows is that?

It's the "Airfit P10 for Airmini" mask set made by ResMed. It includes the air pillows and hose and is specific to the AirMini machine. However, I also have a ResMed Airfit P10 mask for my full size CPAP machine and they both use the same air pillows. The pillows come in small, medium and large.

Steve, do you use humidification with your air-mini? If so, what machine did you use before and how do they both compare with treatment and humidification?

The air-mini has a waterless/powerless humidifying system that's built into the mask hose. It works pretty well, I haven't noticed any dryness using it on camping trips or when I'm traveling. At home I use a Resmed S9, it has a separate heated humidifier module. I really think I like the air-mini system just as good. The only drawback is that it is a little noisier than my big unit.

I also have a S9 and need humidification. I have been considering an Air-Mini and was given some humidification approximates on its equivalents to the S9, what is your humidification settings for your S9 and do you use HumidX or HumidX plus?

SteveReed - Question about the TalentCell 24V LI Battery PB240A1. Do you use the 24V output or 12V output to power your Resmed Airmini?

I use the 24v output.

I use the regular HumidX. I generally set my humidity on my S9 to 4.5 or 5. I actually think I get along better with the HumidX on the airmini.
