Gossamer Gear Two vs. Zpacks Duplex

I am looking to reduce weight in my tent setup. I currently use the MSR Hubba and it has served me very well for a long time. With tent, fly, poles, stakes and a Tyvek ground sheet it comes in at about 50 oz. So far I am looking at the Gossamer Gear Two and the Zpacks Duplex. They look similar in size, weight and setup; but not cost (dyneema?) but cost is not that important in my comparisons. I am 6'3" and would like a little extra room for gear inside the tent, thus both being 2 person tents. The Hubba has the room but is a little tight for me and gear. I am looking for any thoughts WRT these tents and some comparisons if anyone has used both. Also, if anyone has any other suggestions for any other lightweight tents in the 25 oz or less range, it would be appreciated.

I intend to continue my thru hike in '21 (I left after 10 days in '20 due to Covid).

Check out the Durston X-Mid 2. I have the X-Mid one and it's a great tent for the money. The two seems to have the same great reviews.

Durston was on the Backpacker Radio podcast discussing tent design. He discussed everything from the shape to the +/- of various materials. It was fascinating and I highly recommend giving it a listen especially if you're looking to purchase a tent.

I went to the duplex for 500 miles of AT completion but have sold it and now gone back to the SS2 now that the NH and southern ME are done. I do not miss the duplex at all.

Here are 2 threads i have started on the discussion piece.

Short answer: Headroom/ footroom very cramped for me (6'2"). As well as that, the amount of exposure on the duplex left me with "splashup" resulting in pools of water in my floor on the duplex.
The pros to the duplex is the weight. It is very light. BUT it comes with some trade offs in protection, durability and comfort if you are a tall person.

I have owned a Duplex and sold it for a Dyneema SS2. It's a tad heavier by the advantages are soooo worth it. First of all it's double wall. Zippered flaps with magnet clasps. Better ventilation. Highly recommend.
