My girlfriend and I want to connect two Big Agnes sleeping pads together to keep them from sliding apart when we sleep under our quilt. I don't really want to try duct tape. Bungee cords seem like overkill. Any ideas would be helpful.

Are they the air core ones?
This would make a difference in the answers and Ideas people come up with....since Big Agnes makes about 4 or 5 different styles now.

A few companies make "coupler kits". ThermaRest and Exped come to mind.

Yes they are aircore.

Sew two sheets of nylon together, and put a seam down the middle to make two pockets. Insert pads. G'nite.

The pockets don't have to extend all the way, either - shoulders to hips would probably be enough. Total cost: $4 in Wallyworld $1/yd nylon, 10 minutes to sew it.

For weight saving, I would sew two nylon strips long enough to go all the way around both mats, connect the ends (making a circle) and then sew a seam in the center (making each side just big enough to slip over one mat). A strap at chest level and one about knee level should hold the mats together.

Thanks for the ideas.
