I'm going to be out in Virginia for a couple of weeks in June, and I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on ladies' footwear. I'd like to get a good pair of trailrunners.
Thanks!

Although I'm a guy I'd recommend starting with the Montrail Vitesse. The shoe has been around for quite a while, and has a dedicated following. I've been wearing them for the past couple of years (in the men's version) and see no reason to change. They are light, dry easily, and have a protective plate in the sole that does a good job protecting the bottom of your foot. I'm a small guy (5'7", 135 lbs.) and normally start out for a week's hike carrying around 30 - 35 lbs. including food and water carried. At that weight the Vitesse give me plenty of support and show no signs of breaking down after approximately 300 trail miles.
