The average is between mid August and early September for NOBO's. Some really early departures (and fast hikers) from Springer reach NH in early August.

Earlier, I think, 'Slogger. Nobos hit Speck Pond in Maine by June and the first northbounder has signed in at the Birches in Baxter State Park by July 4th each year the new site has been open. A few years back (2003?) The Walkin' Man (?) was at Abol Bridge around June 6th.
