Congratulations, Gambit. I've enjoyed so many of your posts, both about the hikes and your logistics and preparation.
What are your hiking plans now that you've met your long term goal? Would you like to do it again? Do you hope to one day do a thru hike?
I've done 700 miles, starting when I was 46. I'm 60 now. I don't think I'll ever finish, due to considerations that outweigh my desire to complete the trail. But I can kinda imagine how meaningful it might be to complete an arduous, complicated, eight-year journey. :)

Congrats! I've enjoyed your post through the years....I don't post much, but I'm always out there 'lurking'.
Now in retirement, planning to pick up where I have ended after many 1.2.3 night outings at Winding Stair Gap.

So happy for you Gambit McCrae!!
Your day has finally come. Focus focus focus, then suddenly you're there and it's over it's done. Enjoy your moment. Relish it, savor every little bit.
So where is that trip report?? It's been several hours now, why are you so slow?? I'm impatient.

Dan, I don't know what parts of the trail you haven't done, but if you're not going to do all of it, at least make room in your life to go do Katahdin. You won't regret it, not one bit!
And the Mahoosucs. The Mahoosuc Notch was loads of fun.

I'm nothing but thrilled for you (not envious at all...no really, not at all ;)). I look forward to hearing the report of your adventures (but not so that I can live vicariously through them of course).
Great job!

I haven't been on here much in the last year or two due to a job change and some other stuff, but I was wondering if you were ever going to get around to finishing 😄
Congratulations!
