Which would be better under the following conditions:
3-season use (low temp maximum 15)
Drizzly Oregon weather
Cloudburst Tarptent
Badger is 15-degree w/ microfiber, extra room in shoulders
Versalite is 10-degree w/ pertex, fits just right
I was thinking that the Badger would be more versatile and that the shell would be better for use in a tarptent because it's more windproof, and repels water better. Also a roomier bag might be better when it gets warm out and then when it gets colder I could just add layers or wrap a shirt around my shoulders to fill up any extra space. What do you think?
The Versalite on the other hand is 6oz lighter, and fits just right, but the shell is pertex which I read is not as durable, windproof, or waterproof. The only thing it has going for it is the weight.
