Recently bought the only 1” Bibb gasket as recommended for squeeze but Center hole is very small so assuming will restrict flow. Open up hole?

I have used garden hose orings for years as replacement

If you had a pair of calipers you could measure it precisely and then maybe try https://www.mcmaster.com/ to find the correct size.
