Well, I heard from GG about their new pockets - a quick google search has led me to one retailer with pictures on their site:
for the side pockets:

I've ordered one of each (a small for the pack pocket) to see how they hold up.

If you are looking for a shoulder pocket, check out the digital camera cases. There are at least two that work, one that has a hook and loop attachment that will fit around the webbing on the shoulder strap.

The pockets arrived today - If nothing else, the shipping dept of Base Gear (http://www.basegear.com) has their stuff in order. Will post details on the pockets when I get a chance - too much work going on here at the moment. (and I'm procrastinating by being here now!!!)
I use the Mountainsmith SK All Purpose Pouch (small) which straps right to the shoulder starp of my GG Nimbus Ozone where the chest strap connects. It works great for my Canon Elph camera and other small bits.

OK - Here are the specs on the shoulder pouch:
1.4 ozs
5.5" long
2.25" wide
1.25" deep
The clips that attach to the shoulder strap are a bit odd - at least I've never seen one like them. They hold, but I'm concerned they might break. Will report back when they have been in the field. There is also an interesting port to fish a pair of headphones through. The zipper is water resistant - and the padded pocket could hold a SMALL camera or an MP3 player - but probably not both. Nice little pocket so far - but don't plan on using it for much.

Thanks for that. What I'm looking for them to do though is something like what ULA does on their hipbelts. The problem with after market pouches is that they float around and don't stay put.

I just got the shoulder strap pocket at Campmor. Holds my Elph camera nicely. I also noticed that GG has a hip belt pocket on their website, they say its coming soon, they also say the shoulder pocket is coming soon also and I bought one on Tuesday! I think I also got the last Vapor Trail that campmor had on sale for 89.95. I'm gonna take both out for a quick run up to Sunfish Pond on Friday.

Thanks for the basegear.com suggestion, hikerjohnd. I ordered a map pocket (air pocket) and a small pack pocket on Monday. They quickly arrived on Wednesday. I'm curious to hear more about how these accessories are being used. I'm impressed that the pack pocket will attach to either left or right compression straps on my Vapor Ki; and am even more impressed that I can center the pocket on the front, looping the securing strap from my lid through the end loop if needed. Options, all good.

Yep, I use the Lid. I like it - it holds the small things I may need throughout the day. It comes in at a true weight of just under 3 ounces. Also acts as a rain cover for the top of the pack.

Update on my shoulder strap pouch:
I found the Mountainsmith SK All Purpose Pouch to be a little smaller than I would like. I want to be able to carry food bars and several more items in a readily accessible pouch.
I bought a Unslack Pack for $22 from Simblissity http://www.simblissity.net/ which comes in at .96 ounce (according to my scale - spec says .8 ounce). It expands to hold my camera, cell phone, carabiner w/ keys, knife, Photon, watch, Petzl headlamp, with room for more. It will have no problem carrying several food bars in addition to the above.
It installs easily and has a nice tension system which prevents flopping. My only complaint is the bright white manufacturer tag on the front which was very distracting during night hikes due to its reflectivity. It was easy enough to cut off.
I recommend it.

My wife and I both have it on our Vapor Trails. Not all that roomy but I we wouldn't like it if it was. Great for somewhat flat items ...like maps, journal, snacks, hygeine kit, wool cap or gloves.

You're correct ...a roomy pack lid on a Vapor Trail style backpack would be counter productive. The "LID" that they have come up with is really just a small, thin "cover" that allows for storage a few items.

I have a GG Nimbus Ozone and used both. I did make my own ajustable straps to mount the lid on with so I can center it over the top no matter how high I pack gear into the top collor. I get a rain coat, rain cover and map into it.
The Packpocket I got 2 of the small and 2 of the large sizes. I use only 1 of the large most of the time. I strap it to the center pack straps, over the sleeping pad. The extra room from only one is all I need.
