Plan to hike it in October. Anyone know how to aquablaze the middle section? I hear you can and avoid the 14 mile road walk around Franklin. AH-ITE-DEN

Well, its the Little Tennessee River. It passes right through the middle of Franklin. Here's a link that might help; http://www.maconweb.com/frogs/links.html

Just did the NC Bartram in January into the SoRuck. Im sure it would be easy to set up a raft/shuttle of the river, but it was also fairly easy to hitch past all the road walking. I ended up only walking only about 4-5 miles of the 14. The back roads were nice to stroll on, but i cared nothing about hiking along the major ones. just hitch...unless you have a day to kill, and rafting would be fun!
